Description

A compass for skilled hikers who can determine azimuth or want to learn. A compass is an essential tool for survival in the wilderness, in the mountains, and also for geocaching. Together with a map, it helps with proper navigation and orientation in the terrain. On the base of the compass, you will find a rotating compass dial with luminescent points indicating the cardinal directions: North - N, South - S, East - E, and West - W, and meridian lines. The luminescent (glowing) points make it easier to work in the dark. The balanced metal compass needle in a liquid capsule (red arrow) points to the Earth's magnetic north pole. The base plate is foldable and includes holes for marking checkpoints and a scale in millimeters. A yellow lanyard for hanging around the neck is included.
