Immortal. That's how you could describe AKU's best-selling model, the Conero GTX, in one word. Don't want to worry about buying new hiking boots every season? The Conero model typically lasts five, ten, or even fifteen years. They will support you whether you are in the Beskydy Mountains, the Tatras, or the Alps. Thanks to the combination upper made of 1.8 mm thick nubuck leather and AIR 8000 fabric, which is up to 11 times more breathable than commonly used materials, your feet will breathe perfectly even on a hot summer day. Naturally, a waterproof membrane is used in the Gore-Tex lining, here in the Performance Comfort variant, which guarantees dry feet in any weather. Just like protection against scuffing, there is a robust rubber rand around the entire shoe, protecting you in rocky terrain. Thanks to the VIBRAM Foura sole and the use of EVA foam in combination with a 4-6 mm nylon shank in the midsole, the Conero offers excellent traction and protection, as well as stability in very rugged terrain due to excellent ankle support. The use of an anatomically shaped footbed also testifies to the attention to detail.
So, who is the Conero GTX model for? For everyone looking for a high-quality, decades-tested hiking boot they can rely on in any terrain they venture into.
